WHY WE EXIST

The Problem

Over 1 billion people across Africa work in the informal economy— workers on construction sites, mines, manufacturing plants ad plantations, security guards and many more. They're the backbone of our cities. Yet they're invisible to the formal financial system. No bank accounts. No credit history. No path to economic mobility. Just cash, uncertainty, and disappointments.

Our Solution

We digitize temporary work and unlock financial services for the workers who power it. Businesses get a platform to manage their flexible workforce. Workers get digital payments, verified work history, and access to credit for the first time. Simple tools. Massive impact.

The Scale

We're starting in Rwanda, but over 1 billion people across Africa work in the informal economy. Every country faces the same challenge: businesses can't efficiently manage temporary workers, and workers can't access financial services. We're not just building a product—we're building the economic infrastructure that will unlock opportunity across an entire continent

Founder’s Journey

When Tafara and Jansen met at Williams College, they shared more than a classroom—they shared a conviction that Africa's biggest opportunities weren't being built by Africans.

Tafara, a serial entrepreneur with a background in astrophysics, had seen firsthand how brilliant ideas died without the right infrastructure. Jansen, coming from consulting and finance, had watched capital flow everywhere except where it was needed most.

The moment that changed everything: Jansen and Tafara kept hearing the same story from two sides. Workers struggled to find consistent jobs, which meant inconsistent pay, which meant they couldn't plan their lives or access credit. Meanwhile, businesses were drowning in paper and spreadsheets—managing workers manually, with no real visibility into what was happening on the ground. They couldn't efficiently pay people, couldn't track performance, couldn't scale. Both sides were stuck in a system that didn't work for anyone. There had to be a better way.
